It was a great opportunity to mess with the work of Benny Tones (who also mastered 'Four' for me), especially a track with the vox of Electric Wire Hustle's Mara TK on it.  Still pretty stoked with the results - hope you enjoy.

 2 new albums, a single, a bunch of remixes, over a dozen free tracks, gigs in Auckland and Wellington... 2012's been alright, music-wise.

In 2010 I did a remix for Fat Freddy's Drop that showed up on the single 'The Raft'.  At the time I actually did two versions, one of which never saw release.  So, yeah, here it is for free.

Wellington act Cold Eyes put out an EP called 'Young Adults' last month and has followed it up with a bonus release, 'Younger', which is packed with remixes and a few other unreleased bits.  Listen to my Jet Jaguar remix below or click the links in that last sentence.  (Duh!)

In 2010 Group Five put out an album, 'Great Days', with a bonus album called 'Good Evenings'.  It included 3 remixes I'd done.  Up until now it's been one of those typical bonus album deals where you get 'Good Evenings' when you pay for 'Great Days'.   But now you can just grab 'Good Evenings' for free if you prefer.

 Music of Sound's Tim Prebble has posted a bunch of free sounds from a sample set he made called Tortured Piano.  He's made a remix competition of sorts out of it - encouraging everyone to get stuck in with making tracks from these (and only these) sounds.  

Here's a tune I finished this year, which is pretty drunken.  I once wrote a track called 'Unco Drummer', this could be Part 2 of that.

My remix of Fat Freddy's Drop's tune 'The Raft' is finally widely available, on the digital / download version of the single.

If you like vinyl, you can buy a 7" direct from the Drop and get the download version included with that. (Just to be really clear - my mix isn't on the 7", but is in the included download.)
