No, not Prince's drummer, but Steph has been drumming for 13 years.  She's also a student in VUW's sonic arts programme, exploring acousmatic composition and similar mysteries, and, yep, producing beats with machines too.  This is her first released tune as a producer, but I was sufficiently impressed by the tracks on her Soundcloud that I had to ask her to get involved.

Andrew Loughnan has released a bunch of moody instrumental hip-hop gear as Group Five, and has recently made the call to switch to just going by his own name.  He's a man of genuinely catholic tastes, often plundering the Second Viennese School or German free jazz records for sample fodder.  Out of love, not to be a pain.

As well as making beats, Samu shows up round Wellytown playing in The Supper Club Shakedown, which is a live band doing covers of hip-hop classics, plus DJs plenty - Flava on RadioActive.FM being his regular haunt on air.

James cut his teeth on the empty dancefloors and late night vibes of numerous Wellington bars, before circumstances dictated a move across the ditch. He has now sold out and is living the diamond life in Sydney Australia, where he counts foreign currency in the sun. He also makes house music and varying shades of rhythm driven electronica which he produces under the shadowy umbrella imprint "Afterwork". He is always down for smokey basement sessions and is an alright guy, even if he did write this himself.
