blurb

Two old friends finally got off their arses and finished some tunes after years of dabbling together. The impetus was making the dance sounds they wanted to hear, and getting a bit too excited about Italo disco and 80s r&b records. The results reminded us a bit of various things... some Daft Punk, some of the dancier Matmos/Soft Pink Truth stuff, even bits of Todd Edwards.

We struggled with the name. One night I was lined up to perform a live to air gig on a local radio station and decided to invite Tarn along to perform our tunes instead of making it a Jet Jaguar gig. On the way there we were still trying to agree on a name, and ended up christening ourselves after the car we had borrowed.

releases

Our debut 12" is out now through Capital Recordings External link, and can be ordered online from Smoke CDs External link.

If you don't have a record player, a couple of these tracks have shown up on compilation CDs. Check the discography for more details.

downloads

Check the Smoke CDs link above for minute MP3s of the four tracks on the 12", or stream whole tracks on last.fm.

I've also uploaded an exclusive MP3 of a tune by Tarn from around the time of our Datsun Stereo sessions. I like it lots.
