Weekly MP3 #219: Choir Of Young Believers - Wintertime Love (Sian Alice Group Remix)

A lost 70s psyc soundtrack? Nah, something pretty nice from 2010, available from RCRDLBL.
I love this kind of music, that sounds like a band but something in its character is more like laidback electronica of some kind... and, as I already wrote, the result often feels more like a lost soundtrack from another era. There's some good ol' tremelo guitar here, some bass guitar, shakers and steady acoustic drumming, and a wordless vocal refrains (one woman, one man?) that loop and layer up as the track continues. It all kind of goes round and round, with a lot of small variations but no real deviation from the groove set up at the start.
Like a hippy version of Seefeel? Less icy Slowdive? Niceness, anyway.
The British trio Sian Alice Group have been going for a few years, and maybe have folded even? The Choir of Young Believers is an ongoing concern.
